 Lenny the worm marked a pivotal moment in GABS’ artistic journey, representing the brand's first exploration into the use of fiber glass and resin. This innovative approach allowed GABS to create a piece that could withstand the test of time, defying the limitations of previous works that typically lasted only a week or two when exposed to various weather conditions.

The decision to work with fiberglass and resin came from a desire to expand the possibilities of outdoor art. Unlike traditional materials that could easily degrade under sunlight, rain, and wind, Lenny was designed for longevity and resilience. This shift not only transformed the aesthetic qualities of the artwork but also opened up new avenues for creative expression.

Lenny embodies a playful yet durable spirit, able to coexist with nature without succumbing to its pressures. Through this project, GABS not only challenged the traditional temporality of art but also embraced the potential of modern materials.
